Amy Shaffer shows us a beautiful project using stamps and linen fabric. I didn't have any fabric paint on hand, so I used PTI's dye inks on a linen weave napkin. The napkin is actually 100% cotton that was pre-washed and dried, but it did take the stamping pretty well. I may look into getting some permanent inks in a couple of colors and try stamping on real linen. A set of stamped napkins would make a lovely gift!

PTI SAF 3rd Anniversary - Leather
This card was made using Ashley Cannon Newell's design and technique for faux leather.
I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed making the faux leather. I wasn't able to find liquid glycerin locally, so I ended up buying a small jar of generic glycerin suppositories and dissolving them in hot water. (It worked out quite well once I figured out I didn't need to use half the jar of suppositories.) I used PTI brown cardstock and it held up nicely to the water-glycerin mixture and crumpling. I was impatient to continue on, so I used my heat tool to dry the faux leather. The texture and overall feel is very much like leather. Here are a couple of pictures to try and show the texture.

PTI SAF 2nd Anniversary - Cotton
This card follows very closely the instructions from Stephanie Gold. It was so much fun making the cotton candy!
I used a PTI sentiment die and PTI cardstock.

PTI SAF, 1st Anniversary - Paper
This card is my take on Laura Bassen's project. I used a PTI die from the 2014 Stamp a Faire and paper scraps. The vellum was also a scrap.

Stamp-a-faire 2017
It's been nearly a year since posting. So much has happened during that time - busy with work and life in general, but I am happy to be able to spend some time this week-end playing along with PTI's Stamp-a-faire.
The first card is my 10 minute challenge card. It took a little over 10 minutes to put together, but less than 10 minutes to get all the supplies together.

The next two cards are for the 1st Anniversary Tradition - Paper, using Rebecca Luminarias' video as a guide. It was quite fun dipping the die cut flowers and leaves in the water tinted with re-inker dyes. I even dipped the paper bow to get the color I wanted. (The pics aren't the greatest - the colors are soft and subtle, prettier in person.)
Thanks so much for taking a look!
